4:06 pm - Fliping out. I'm such a newbie.

blindclarity
So I'm kinda worried. *embarrassed-ly worried*  Okay...super worried.
I haven't herd from Rickey and it's been a week and some change.
* We Did Laptop Video Calling when he reached the hotel in Bahrain

* We always Keep in touch Like Crazy, unless we give one another a heads up. (Such as bootcamp or something)
He's on the Harry Trueman. But he said I should expect emails.
So Far inbox is batting everything else except email from him.

And of course as this is a first employment I am flipping out and biting my wonderful nails off.
Is this normal?

Can they not email on an air craft carrier? Does he have to do a lot, to the point where he can't email me and say "Hi Babe I'm alive and doing well"?

I just don't know what to expect when it comes to this type of thing.
I'm just worried about him.

Of course I know I'm probably worried for nothing, but that doesn't stop odd horrible images of nuclear distastes popping in my head, or him slipping and falling on something. Or the ship being lost in some kind of odd ocean time warp >.> Okay...everyone would know if this type of thing happened but I have a big imagination.

5:18 pm - moving

lovingmysailor
wow, you never know how much stuff you really have until you move! i have only moved once in my life and i barely remember it. i just finished packing up *most* of my stuff. the move in date as of right now is feb. 5th. (next sunday). we are still waiting to here from the lady. they are putting in new carpet and vinyl. also, a few other touch ups. she wouldn't give us an exact date but she did say the first week in febraury so we are shooting for the 5th. keith still has to get the lease and his brown bagger packet signed by the MTI and the chief. he'll get that done tuesday morning b/c that's the only morning he has free during the week. i'm so excited! we have been seperated since october! we finally have a place of our own! his 4 roommates are already asking to come over and party! I DONT THINK SO! i told keith they can come over every now and then but not everyday. they are the last thing i want to be coming home to after work. i haven't even met them yet but they are annoying just listening to them over the phone! i hope a-school lasts longer than expected. some guys said they have been down there over 10 months when they only said 5-6. my job transfer went through just in time! they are waiting on me. keith is flying up here saturday morning. we'll pack up the truck that afternoon then drive down first thing sunday morning. we are going to haul my truck on the back to save some gas $. we love road trips!

did any of you navy wives live with your hubby during A or C school?

12:24 am - Greetings.

_angel_kitten_
Hi my Name is Amanda and my Fiance Justin is in the Navy, He is actually in San Diego right now but in January he will be going somewhere overseas. He was home on leave for 19 days (longest leave hes had since he joined) and he went back to San Diego last Tuesday the 29th of November. I drove him to the airport and he asked me to wait with him for a bit but I couldnt even bring myself to get out of the truck I just wrapped my arms around him and I didnt want to let go. Please tell me this gets easier with time? I guess I can consider myself very lucky since he gets out of the Navy in January of 2007 he doesnt plan on re-enlisting right now but that could change.

11:41 am - Hello!!!!

wickedwench_04
I was browsing through communities here in Live journal and I happen to come across this one, I have decided to join cuz I could use some moral support while I wait for someone dear to my heart who is deployed overseas right now. I really don't know what to make of it all, I wouldn't call him my boyfriend since everything is still in the air right now. Every time we have planned to see each other, everything goes down the drain, somewhere between his job and mine (I work for a very popular theme park in Fl) we haven't been able to see each other since christmas 2004. He is currently on deployment until march and here I am waiting for him with barely any support from my friends since most of them don't understand how the Navy works. Thank you for letting me join this community; I look forward to hearing from some of you ladies who have more insight of the navy lifestyle than I do. All my info is in my profile, is a public journal, anyone who might be interested in just talking, you are more than welcome to contact me.

As for my man, here is what he does, I felt a lot of pride when he sent me this:

Thank you once again for letting me join this community, I hope to hear from you experienced ladies very soon

How does it benefit you if you refer someone to the Navy? Keith's recruiter told us before but I don't remember. A guy at my work wants to join and I was told that Keith would get some kind of bonus or something if he referred him. Anyone know? I was actually gonna call Keith's recruiter and do it myself since Keith physically can't.

eeeeeeee! i got another phone call today! he got to talk for a whole hour! God, that just made my week! :) he told me that they said, "don't think you are going home for christmas b/c no one here will be home for christmas this year!" how mean? all he will be doing is standing watch. his step dad (retired AF) said they tell them that now but they will let them go like the very last minute before christmas. they better! he also told me that if his a-school is longer than 20 weeks then i get to go with him to florida! yaaaaay! they said 14-26 weeks of school but he will know exactly how long within the next 2 weeks. he also said he is going to be a body snatcher in graduation so he drew me a map of the drill hall to show me where he will be standing/walking so i can sit right in front of him. :) 29 DAYS!!!

Hey all,
I have lowered the prices of all my yellow ribbon jewelry so I can get rid of my stock. If you ever wanted to order now is your last chance.
